“Pent Up Female Neurotics”

You know, I actually really resent this. It’s like American tourists in Europe complaining that no one speaks English. Are you serious bro? Would you have made the comment on some dude blog that it’s really pent up with “male neurotics?” Let me answer for you: no you wouldn’t have because ‘male neurotics’ is not a thing. Girls do something emotional like cry and they are crazy and hormonal, guys do something emotional like beat someone up and they have a problem, sure, but no one is calling Chris Brown hormonal.

Probably the main reason a lot of what we write about seems neurotic is because it’s the kind of expression that doesn’t have any other home. There are things you literally are not allowed to say in public. For instance, if you have de facto ‘agreed’ to hooking up with someone outside of a relationship and it makes you really unhappy you cannot talk about it. Let me finish: by virtue of laying out that you cannot call it a “relationship” dudes maintain that you cannot be unhappy about anything that happens, because you aren’t even in a relationship. Listen- I am telling you the truth. You don’t even get to have efficacy over how you feel about stuff because that’s supposed to be controlled and directly in proportion to whatever label you are allowed to have. This is bullshit and people need to talk about it so that it stops happening.

One of the main ways we “philosophize” is by actually considering things that happen rather than weighing them on the already established scale of what is important. Like, veganism is probably important and it would make the world a whole lot better if more people were vegans. This is a large scale thought. On the granular level where it is actually tested veganism sucks because it fucks up your social situations because most of them revolve around food and if you aren’t careful it makes you tired and sad all the time and makes your skin look bad.

There needs to be room for people to talk about how things affect their very specific, very embodied and mired point of view. Just because it’s one person’s dumb privileged opinion doesn’t mean it isn’t worth any consideration.

Anyways, cool opinion bro. GFY.

hi, quick comment re: veganism, if you really think you’re low on iron 1 cup of chickpeas containts 26% of your daily iron value. if low mood is a problem you should be supplementing your diet with omega 3/6/9 and b12 supplements. and i hope you weren’t relating hormonal imbalance and not eating meat because that’s something i’ve never heard of before and the idea of meat hormones is kind of terrifying actually. if energy is an issue you need to eat more protein probably which is really easy if you like almonds or beans. or chickpeas.

and like i’m assuming yall don’t actually care that much about the ethical side of veg*nism if you seriously think that “it makes it hard to go out with friends” or whatever is a real problem
