The first type of premature ejaculation happens when you are fooling around with a guy and then, you know, it’s not really time yet but it happens. Bummer.
The second type of premature ejaculation happens when you are fooling around with the idea of a guy and it’s not at all time yet, but you spill your guys (sry for the visual) on him and it’s way too soon. Ugh.
These really play to gender stereotypes huh? Men are physical and girls are all emotionally vulnerable and we’re all jumping the gun when we like someone. Is one more embarrassing than the other? I’m not sure, if you’re a decent person you shouldn’t gossip about either one to your friends. Neither are malicious or indicate some sort of personality problem. In fact, it’s just kind of childish over-enthusiasm that causes the problem in the first place.
I read in Glamour or Cosmo this guy trying to put into words what was going through his head during sex. A lot of it was like “think about baseball” “think about things that aren’t sexy” and “slowwwww down.” I appreciate this because, he’s trying to calm down and last longer for his partner- and it comes at the cost of doing what is natural or impulsive.
Women do this too. When you start dating someone you have to set arbitrary rules like, how often you can call them and whether you can ask them what they are thinking. If done to an extreme this can be game playing, but I think for the most part it’s helpful to be a bit less impulsive when you aren’t thinking with your head. It sucks anytime you have to slow your natural processes and inject artificiality into your relationship, but it goes both ways.
